Is the Instagram audit free?
Yes - it runs with no signup, no card and no Instagram login. The score, your top three priorities and five of the seven analyses are open; content strategy and monetization readiness open with a free account, no card.
What data does the audit read?
Only what a public profile shows: display name, biography, verification, and the follower, following and post counts. It never reads your posts, stories, insights or DMs. A successful lookup is cached for 24 hours, so the same handle audited again inside a day reuses it.
Why does it ask me to complete a check before running?
Each audit is a live profile lookup, and the tool was being polled by a script on rented IP addresses. The check creates a temporary guest session so the limit is per person, not per address. It is not a signup: no email, no password, no account, and it expires after 30 days.
Why is engagement shown as a range?
The tool cannot see individual posts, so it cannot measure a real engagement rate. The range is what accounts in that follower tier typically see, to compare your own insights against.
Can I audit a private account?
No. Only public accounts can be read, and a private handle returns a message saying so.
